Soldiers - veterans who fought in the forefront, had a decent armor and received twice as much money. Such "masters of the sword" in one sweep of the weapon turned the enemy to flight. But these soldiers "on a double salary" were relatively few - one among, perhaps, thirty pikers and halberdiers. 

The soldier is dressed in the fashionable "Spanish style". On his head helmet morion kabasset. Breastplate in the form of a pea pod with plate-shaped tassettes. Its main weapon is a two-handed sword-espadon with a wavy blade, capable of causing the most serious injuries.
