The Roman flag is presented in the form of a standard with a golden eagle ("aquila" of Latin Aquila) in the top and rectangular cloth ("vecillum" of Latin vexillum) with the Latin abbreviation SPQR in a golden laurel wreath.
 
SPQR - the initial letters of the Latin phrase "Senatus Populus que (Quiritium) Romanus", which means "Senate and people (citizens) of Rome."
 
Standard bearer with uncovered head, in a red tunic over leather armor. The breast is decorated with award-winning silver phaler and hryvnia.
